Accessibility Statement

In accordance with the European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882)

Effective Date: March 20, 2026

Last updated: March 20, 2026

1. Our Commitment

Scale Media AI is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people of all abilities. We are working to improve the user experience for everyone and to conform to applicable accessibility standards. We believe that every user deserves equal access to our Service, regardless of ability, and we take this responsibility seriously.

2. Conformance Target

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA as referenced by the European Accessibility Act and the EN 301 549 standard. WCAG 2.1 defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities, including:

  • Perceivable — Information and interface components are presentable in ways users can perceive.
  • Operable — Interface components and navigation are operable by all users.
  • Understandable — Information and operation of the interface are understandable.
  • Robust — Content is robust enough to be interpreted by a wide variety of user agents, including assistive technologies.

3. Current Status

As an early-stage startup, we are actively working toward full WCAG 2.1 AA compliance. We acknowledge that our product is in active development and some areas may not yet meet all accessibility standards.

3.1 What We Currently Support

  • Semantic HTML — We use semantic HTML5 elements throughout our application to ensure proper document structure.
  • Keyboard navigation — Core functionality is accessible via keyboard navigation.
  • Color contrast — We strive to maintain sufficient color contrast ratios (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text) across our interface.
  • Responsive design — Our interface adapts to different screen sizes and orientations.
  • Form labels — Form inputs include associated labels for screen reader compatibility.
  • Focus indicators — Interactive elements display visible focus indicators for keyboard users.

3.2 Known Limitations

We are aware of the following accessibility limitations and are working to address them:

  • AI-generated images — Images generated by AI may not always include descriptive alternative text. We are working on automatic alt text generation for AI-produced visuals.
  • Complex interactive components — Some advanced UI components (e.g., the visual calibration swipe interface, drag-and-drop calendar) may have limited screen reader support.
  • Dynamic content — Some dynamically loaded content and real-time updates may not always be announced to screen readers via ARIA live regions.
  • PDF and exported content — Exported content and generated reports may not fully meet accessibility standards.
  • Third-party integrations — Social media platform embeds and third-party widgets (e.g., Stripe checkout, cookie consent tools) may have their own accessibility limitations outside our control.

4. Our Improvement Plan

We are committed to continuously improving accessibility. Our ongoing efforts include:

  • Conducting periodic accessibility audits of our application.
  • Implementing automated accessibility testing in our development pipeline.
  • Prioritizing accessibility fixes in our product roadmap.
  • Training our development team on accessible design and development practices.
  • Improving screen reader compatibility for complex interactive features.
  • Adding automatic alt text generation for AI-generated images.
  • Working with users who rely on assistive technologies to improve our Service.

5. Assistive Technologies

Scale Media AI is designed to be compatible with the following assistive technologies:

  • Screen readers (VoiceOver, NVDA, JAWS)
  • Screen magnification software
  • Speech recognition software
  • Keyboard-only navigation

We test primarily on current versions of modern browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) with the aforementioned assistive technologies.

6. Feedback & Contact

We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of Scale Media AI. If you encounter any accessibility barriers or have suggestions for improvement, please contact us:

7. Enforcement

If you are not satisfied with our response to your accessibility concern, you may escalate the matter to the relevant national enforcement body in your EU member state. In Germany, the Federal Monitoring Body for Accessibility of Information Technology (Überwachungsstelle des Bundes für Barrierefreiheit von Informationstechnik — BFIT-Bund) is responsible for enforcement. Contact information for national enforcement bodies can be found through your country's government accessibility resources.
